Were you at Happy Hour?

Brisbane Tour

On Saturday, PGIC conducted its free Brisbane tour for new students (and even some of our older students joined in the fun). Let's be honest, Brisbane isn't the biggest city in its size - but often the best thing about Brisbane is the ability to find fun and interesting things to do if you look hard enough...

The students were guided through many of the landmarks and places that make Brisbane iconic - from the Botanical Gardens and Streets Beach in Southbank, through to the State Museum and... The Cultural Centre Busway???

Remember, the Brisbane Tour is just skimming the surface of what Brisbane really has to offer.
Our CPs have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to this, and always feel welcome to ask them anything - they may be able to help you find something you really want to do!

State of Origin (Game 1) - Queensland Win

Last night Queensland made the best possible start to the 3-Game series - by taking victory over New South Wales 28-18 in the first match.
No team in State of Origin have ever won a series 4 years in a row, and now the Queensland team have the chance to make history, having won the series in 2006, '07 and '08.
Students and CPs watched the match over at Union Jacks (our happy hour venue) - and while the Australian people roared and cheered for their team, it didn't take long for the PGIC students to learn the rules of the game and join in the action.

The next match will take place on Wednesday June 24th - and be sure that we'll have another acitivity organised for this important match. All students will be invited to join us and cheer on Queensland... or NSW (if you're into that kind of thing)...

In the meantime, you can see highlights of Game 1 on the link below...
